Reflections

Q1:  Which thing have you found most useful so far?

A:  Firefox, love the add-ons!  Still using IE a lot though - purely out of habbit I think.
Also can't stop doodling as many people may have noticed, life is scheduled around doodle polls now!

Q2:  Do you feel more confident online using social media sites?

A:  I feel the same as I did before I think.  I may have become more confident blogging, I certainly give it less thought than I used to - it used to feel like I had to prepare more before blogging, now it's just like scribbling random thoughts on screen.

Q3:  How can you apply what you've learned to your work?

A:  I could blog about stuff that's relevant to other people.  I could tweet interesting newsworthy topics of interest to members of my team.  I certainly am doodling a lot (did I mention that already?).  I already use Feed My Inbox.  Firefox is nice too.

Q4:  Does this style of delivery suit your learning style?

A:  For something like this, yes because it allows everyone to work at their own pace so I can do it when I want and spend as much or as little time on it.  It is easy to forget to do your "things" though but so far so good.  I don't enjoy blogging at all tho!

Please remember to feed the fish

Just had a play with my blog design, looking better I think.

Just stuck a fish gadget at the top so please feel free to feed them when you drop by (click in the water to drop food) and they'll follow your cursor too.

My cabinet is feeling fuller already

Carroll's Cabinet of 23 Curiosities (or eventually it will be)

Well, this is my first post on my very own blog.  I've never been a fan of blogging (who has the time?) but for the sake of "23 things" I'm giving it a go and feeling quite positive about it all.

So, this is my "cabinet" where I intend to keep my "23 things" as I progress through the University of Warwick Library's "23 things" programme.

I feel quite savvy when it comes to web 2.0 but I'm hoping that by participating in the programme I'll learn some little gems along the way and will also find some web 2.0 stuff useful which I've been too busy to put into practice in the past.  Moreover, some of the web 2.0 tools I've been too busy to use may actually end up saving me time in the future.

Right... well, that's things 1 and 2 sorted (1 - set up a blog, 2 - post something)... now just to register on the programme so I can check off thing 3.

Tune in next week to see how "things" progress....
